human being

Every person on this planet has their invisible ‘love language’ and their mechanism for thriving. For some, their spiritual inspiration is the Creator, for others its their physical inspiration in a partner that helps them to thrive and want to be. I was watching a rerun of Oprah’s show about children who were raised without affection and physical contact and nurturing. It caused me to think, are there individuals out here who have the same conditions? And if they do, what are the repurcussions to such?

Sometimes we can get so engrossed in our lives that we begin to take so much for granted. I mean the simple things such as living another day, having friends, loved ones, supportive individuals by our side become something we expect rather than some people we treasure.

So getting back to a human being, an adult, who is deprived of the affection, physical contact, nurturing, and loving-kindness that they are accustomed to — what do they do? How do they deal? I could not imagine, and it only makes me think of how blessed I am that I have my children. How blessed I am that I don’t have to come home to a lonely house of isolation and quiet day in and day out.

Maybe those who don’t have that warmth, that “physical” or emotional are the ones who come to work and sit in your company without a smile, without warmth, and without a spirit. Not because they don’t have one, but because no one has taken notice or an interest.

So the next time you see someone who even looks like they may fit into that category, smile with your eyes or your lips.

Take the time to say good morning, or how are you? Because the worse thing in the world for any human being by any human standards is to be ignored because to constantly be ignored is to eventually become invisible.
