David Simms- Proprietor/ Artist Eatible Delights Catering
In 1996 formed Eatible Delights Catering, and did his first large job, by being selected to participate in the 1996 All Star game. While coming up through the ranks, I worked for The Olive Garden, and Restaurant Associates while continuing to build and Eatible Delights Catering. He graduated for OIC in August of 2000, where they received their first instructional training.
In 2002 David went to work for La Terrase restaurant, and got formal training under Chef David Greer. This was also the year that he secured the backstage catering for The Robin Hood Dell East. David Simms, is now a chef by trade. In 2003 they formed David’s Place Restaurant, and kept that open until 2006, until moving to their Ridge Avenue Location, which is now the commissary for Eatible Delights Catering. 2004 brought Eatible the operation of a concession stand at the Citizens bank ball park. Today they are at 2338 Ridge Avenue, and are moving toward 200 events, including drops offs, and box lunch catering.race. David Simms currently writes for Urban Suburban magazine, as well as Arete, both local magazines in the Philadelphia Market. Today Eatible Delights Catering, has a “Brand”, that is known throughout Philadelphia, and the entire Delaware Valley area including South Jersey, Delaware, and New York City.
