Standing there in the open, no light, no sound,

Staring into the distance, nothing can be found.

You try to search for any form of civilization or a hint of gleam,

But you have that feeling of someone watching you, so you scream.

Moving forward through this cold and weary place,

Unfamiliar objects brush pass your fingers and your heart begins to race.

You start running through the eeriness, petrified and in shock,

Stumbling to the ground you hear it and scramble for a rock.

Now wet and shaking, you look around, still nothing can be seen,

But that sound you heard, will haunt you in your dreams.

Fleeing frantically from a place that is not known,

A trail that seems so endless and in the distance, finally you’re home.
