    Hello!

This month, or rather this year has brought many “firsts” for me already. In fact, this is the first “Words from the CEO” I have written in years. I have actually been on a marginal hiatus from writing as much as I used to since having a relatively tragic family incident during the Fall 2017. In fact, I am still not yet ready to completely share although I am confident that it shall make itself its own body of work someday.

This year , or should I say in this first quarter, I have made history in some respects, without anyone in the world yet knowing except those whom are directly connected with the project, and have done so alongside me.

I have, along with several visionary colleagues, started the National Leadership Association of Black Flight Attendants for people of color who serve as flight attendants for major carriers all over the world.

I have been blessed to receive the Trina Antoinette Adams Center for Keeping Children First, MLK Salute to Greatness Award for 2019. I have celebrated my 30th Year Anniversary of pledging Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc with my Sands in New York City. I was part of a panel of women from all over the world, who was asked to speak on a panel and be a part of a 3-day UN (United Nations) event in New York, New York, and I felt both humbly and blessed to be asked to participate. I met some beautiful women from here and abroad that I look forward to staying in touch with and building with in the years to come.

Finally, I was selected as one of the few women whom HBO selected and featured at a pop up museum on New York’s Lafayette Street in Honor of Women’s History Month, called The Inspiration Room. I recognize these “firsts” for me as the beginning steps to a new chapter in my life. While over the past 2 years I have been forced to create my new normal, I can honestly say that the best parts of this life, for me, are experienced when I find that I am making a difference in the lives of others. Each of the aforementioned events, gave me just the right sparks I needed to jump back into the groove of me and boomerang a return to the best parts of who I am and what makes me tick. Enjoy the fruits of your labor, and know, that it is never too late to produce more fruit!
